Letterpress Print Operator

Meridian Press is a working letterpress studio producing fine stationery, broadsides, and limited-run books. We're seeking a hands-on operator to run our Vandercook and platen presses. Responsibilities: - Set type, lock up formes, and run short to medium production runs - Mix inks and maintain consistent registration and impression - Maintain and clean presses; manage paper stock Requirements: - 2+ years hands-on press experience (letterpress strongly preferred) - Care for detail and a steady hand - Ability to lift 40 lbs Benefits: health coverage, paid vacation, and all the test prints you can frame.
